Our "yard sale" is actually an indoor yard sale, spilling out into the front yard. Our Parsonage Resale Shop is simply THE place to find that perfect gift and oh, the prices are so reasonable. Things move fast, so stop by early and then again later in the day because when many yard sales close down for the day, they bring their unsold items to us!
BAKE SALE - For many this is their first stop on the route. We had loads of baked goods which sold out early.
BUTTERFLY FEST - Unfortunately, due to a scheduling conflict - this year's butterfly presentation has been cancelled. However, thanks to the Field Station there are several butterfly banding days here on the Island:

A little history of the Butterfly Festival
The first festival was held on September 18, 1982, one year after the church lease was signed and six months after the Historical Association held its first meeting. Activities included a parade from Neuman's Boat Dock to the church, a bake sale, a presentation on Monarch Butterflies and the release of 30 Monarchs, and a presentation of the deeds to the Association. Since then, the Association has merged the butterfly festival with the Island-wide yard sale early in September.
